7 A Gagangiri, Off Carter Road, Near Café Coffee Day, Khar (W), Mumbai
Rated: Good
Been to this place last evening after reading about it on burrp.Small place at carters. With jazzy boards on either side of this joint, this place looks dull.Luckily it wasnt crowded, so pleasant.
It has a vast menu to choose from.Priced well too. I ordered grilled chicken mexian salad. Qty was gud, tasted pretty well, probably better if it was cool.
Next was spicy tangy chicken wings, i was expecting wings but gt drumsticks.I mus say it was yummy, tangy n spicy.
For the main course I ordered chicken paprika which comes along with potato mash & veggies. It was not spicy as the name suggests.
Also tried the grilled steak in BBQ sauce. Its good provided the meat would have been more tender n juicy. The sauce is not the original BBQ but homemade version, thts different.
Overall foods not heavy, pretty yummy. They should improve on d veggies, which were lymph, not saute well.
Washed all this with a glass of lemon blast which was different, but not gr888 types. It tastes like limbu pani with a fizz.
well they dont have deserts, but i guess they have caramel custard, thts wht the poster says.
Service was fast. This place does get noisy n hot whn crowds pull in.It jus has a single fan & no AC, it feels restless after some point of time.Seating is not comfortable, wooden benches n no back rest. Ya but if ur lucky u can rest ur back on the other person sitting behind you. Music was diifferent, blarring horns from speeding cars on carter road that the FM could hardly be heard.
Ya but like real foodie, its d food tht matters so rest is adjustment.
1 N/V Salad
1 chkn starter
2 main course

Damages:545/- for 2.

La Brasserie, at Le Meridiean hosts the midnight buffet bet 12-3 am all days. Buffet is a mix of chinese, indian, conti food priced at 540/- per person.
The decor of this hotel is truly inviting, warm n pastel shades of beige, green n white.Step into the stylish lobby n walk ur way through the elegant stairway. The buffet area is cosy n dimly lit wid candle stands. Table is set with d right type of crockery.
There was variety of non veg salads abt 6: like chicken roast, braised salmon, platter of cold cuts, diff variety of olives.
6 veg salads: pasta, paneer, pickled cabbage, mix veg, pita n hummus arranged interestingly with array of salad dressings like corriander mayo, basil vinegerate, honey mustard etc. Good feast for a salad lover.
There were 2 types of soup: chicken clear & cream of spinach.
Main course consisted of mutton vindaloo, butter chicken, dum biryani, fried fish in soy sauce, lemon chicken, corn pulav, dal makhani, noodles, baked veg, mix veg, & many more tht i can hardly remember.
Desserts were truly yummy: 4 types of ice cream like chocolate, blueberry etc. mud cake, mango delight, chocolate pudding, fresh creme pudding, gulab jamun, apple pie, almond tarts etc. seperate stand of dessert dressings to mix n match.
uff.....u can imagine......u hav a desire to taste all of it but cant really find place for all this.I made sure to taste most of d items, but couldnt have more if i liked sumthing.
The best were d salads.......most of them chickn roast, cold platter d best. the mutton vindaloo was out of this world, followed by butter chkn.
In deserts choco pudding, creme caramel, apple pie pie, mud cake were amazing.
After all this all i cud think was a bed to sleep.....it was a lovely buffet.......u mus try it but make sure u hav a gud appetite.
