Opposite Shopper's Stop, SV Road, Andheri (W), Mumbai

Excellent

Good food

Radhakrishna is one of the first restaurants I must ve visited as a lil foodie kid. My dad used to take me to this place for the best idlis and medu vadas in the city.

It used to be a simple eating joint which was renovated to this full family place about a decade back.

I remember going to the beach early morning on my cycle to run and then coming to Radhakrishna for freshly made piping hot medu vadas and then later in the afternoon at 4 pm stopping over for idlis after school. Sadly now they dont open till 11 nowadays.

too bad they stopped serving the thali there... dad used to love feasting on it....

For those who want to take a break from the fancy stuff, go here... you will not find a better southindian joint in the city.

The idlis are big puffy and have just the right amount of sour taste in it... the coconut chutney crisp and the sambhar mello...

For the meal types every dish is just perfect... n for those who like trying new things... try the Shahjani Biryani. (at one time this was the most expensive item on the menu)

The menu had been added upon inthe recent years to include a lot of punjabi stuff to cater to the shopping junta and the gujju families that come there.... but the food is still awesome.

They used to have a big display in the restaurant saying Grade 1 eating house.... man it sure was...

SAAAAANDWICH :)

Lucky sandwich earlier ran by 2 chaps called Ramesh and Usuf (i think) are responsible for my survival for the 5 years i was in high school.

Standing at the gate of St. Xaviers high school in vile parle west, they used to sell a 'slice' which is boiled potato in a slice of bread for Rs. 1.50 and a whole sandwich (the works) for Rs. 3.50, all drowned in orange kaddu sauce..... this is about 12 to 15 years back.... This used to be my only meal every afternoon....

Now Lucky sandwich has grown to a huge stall which sells all sorts of sandwiches.. paneer chilly ? wtf anything you can put between 2 slices of bread is available here.... but only VEG... this is hardcore GUJJU territory people... infact everything in the vicinity is strictly veg... The prices have gone up considerably... the veg sandwich now costs Rs. 14 which is really cheap....

its a good place to go if you are hungry for veg sandwiches... its not too expensive and can fill your tummy.... whats more you get to rub shoulders with gujjus :)

WOK

Surprising, none of the reviewers here have tried the WOK at All stir fry...

Goes to show people just do not know what to eat where.

The wok is this lil DIY thingy where they give u a lil bowl and u go to the counter n fill it up...

I usually skip the veggies n the noodles n go straight to the meats.....
meats of all sorts.... Chicken, bacon, ham, fishcakes, prawns, squid, beef, etc.......yummmmmmmmmmmmm... just plonk em in ur bowl add some beansprouts n some baby corn (so that u dont look like an all meat eating glutton) n get it stir fried in the sauce of ur choice....

They have a choice of 12 to 15 sauces which u choose along with condiments.....

worth every penny and you can go in for seconds, thirds, fourths.... thats my limit... not for the tiny tummies though.

they even give u chopsticks to eat.... hehehhe

BEEF BEEF BEEF BEEF BEEF

To all you people out there... you do not eat chicken at bagdadi... you eat beef.... beef biryani, beef chilly fry and those huge rotis...

the food quality may not be as good as it was about 3 years back but its still good.

the service.. excellent, though in a place like this it wouldnt matter....

the only problem is that if you are alone you have to share the table with 6 other people... that kinda kills my appetite but if u r in a big group... fun fun fun.
