Cringing, craving, bingeing, braving... you always have an opinion on what's hot and what's not in your city and we just love to hear it. Besides, there's no better place to satiate that itch to bitch!
For a place that was recommended by a whole bunch of people Home Chef did NOT meet our expectations.
A whole bunch of foodies from work got together to go and pig out, but were horribly disappointed. Even the service was pretty horrible. When one of the gang ordered a soft drink, the waiter brought in a WARM can and a mug full of ice. When asked for a cold can his response was '" have given you ice" When told that we would not be having the can, which was still unopened, he slammed it on the table and walked off.

Sounded interesting!
I finally got a chance to try it out today. And boy, it was worthy it!
It is the sort of place, that usually does not get a second look. A simple entrance into a building compound with a banner that announces the name of the establishment. As soon as you walk in, you will be a little surprised at the cluttered layout with 4/5 long tables that can accommodate around 20 odd people.
The kitchen is right in front of you with a constant stream of fresh hot chapattis and parathas being served in full speed.
After a long discussion and spending time going through various options, the gang decided to go back to an old favorite, Irish Pub. Walked in to and thankfully there was seating available in spite of a ManU/Newcastle match being screened. A quick run through of the menu gave us some great options for a bunch of cocktails. All the cocktails we tried were pretty well made, kudos to the great barman! The staff were also patient and quick to respond to the hazaar queries about preparation of items, both cocktails and food.
Tried out some mushroom starters, AWESOME!! Moved through some of... read more
Went out for a nice dinner with a couple of friends. was looking forward to a good time. Ended up hating the evening. Out of the 3 drinks we picked from the menu they didn't have any in stock. Once we figured out what we wanted one of the non drinkers ended up getting a cocktail instead of the mocktail ordered. The waiter actually had the gall to ask the young lady to have it because it had 'only very little vodka'. On her refusal he went around the table asking each of us if we would like to have the cocktail. The servings were pretty small, but that is something we are used to at the 'fancy place... read more
