Happened to go there after reading a lot of wow reviews. Food is very ordinary in this pigeon hole kind of place. Worst part of the trip is the bad service, waiters are more interested in gossiping amongst themselves then service the order. -

If you want to get a free dose of a pirate mouthed owner freely abusing employees and other over phone then head over to this place. And on top of it if the employees ignore the owner, the buffoon has a loud bell which rings all over the place and is sure to interrupt your meal and conversations.
On top of it all the utensils you get will not be fully cleaned. So please carry an extra napkin to clean what you can before you eat.
On the plus side, the place has a terrific location, decent old world ambiance and some good stuff like Iranian tea.

Having been to this place more than fifty times, I will write this review in comparison to the other South Indian place Madras Cafe also present on King's Circle. Both the places of course have similar family origins in the Ramnayak family (Founder of the first Udipi restaurant in the world).
Where Mysore Cafe scores:
1) Sambar: The Sambar of Mysore Cafe is much more authentic and tastier compared to Madras Cafe

1) White butter idli. Absolutely marvelous, don't even think of having your idli with yellow butter
2) Cozier ambiance. Being smaller in size, Madras Cafe gives a more cozy feeling than Mysore Cafe

Garnish Matunga | 1 review
Located at King Circle, Garnish is one of the better multi cuisine joints you can find this side of town. Especially recommend their starter platter, biryanis and veg pulav (awesome!). Their deliveries are also very prompt. Highly recommended for casual dining. -
