We ordered a kilo each of boneless chicken dum and veg biryani for a home party.Delivery was prompt but when we opened the Veg biryani at about midnight it had soured totally. The next day I called to report the incident and the manager with his apologies sent across a free replacement 1kg of veg dum biryani, no questions asked and took back the soured one. The boneless chicken was plenty in the chicken biryani and tasted yum and worked as republic day lunch as well. Wife being a veggie ate the freshly replaced dum veg biryani also as lunch. -

A soft launch by the Shetty brothers who own the place. Previously a forgettable J49 now totally refurbished and re-imaged as a fine dining restaurant with as part of a chic boutique hotel. I was invited along with a group of select friends to give my opinion on all aspects of the cuisine. The sea food has been the freshest I have ever eaten, sizes that seemed un-realistically super large and a staff who wanted to outdo themselves in every department.

Great food. Some of the best world food one can get in Mumbai. The service is very quick. Went on a Saturday, not very crowded. Ordered a pasta, the waiter said the it will enough for a max of 2 but 3 of us ate it and got so full that the rest was tough to finish. The Jalapeno cheese poppers were not very great. Needed lots more cheese. Also ordered a bruschetta which was out of the world and a great wedge wrap which was HUGE! it came with a great portion of fries and 3 huge onion rings which tasted great. The last time I visited this place about a year ago they were really all in a mess. Since then had not taken the risk. This time around it was a Saturday night, but since we were a big group of 15 with 4 kids we needed to call it an early night. Called for reservations at 6.30 PM and was told it was sold out, as half the restaurant (outdoors) was booked for a private party. On much pleading we were offered a table on the condition we finished by 10.15 PM latest. Suited us just fine. Did our annual old school boys reunion, just four of us catching up with the friend from LA. Wanted good food, great ambience and terrific service. Got all of it. Special mention for the prawns, and off course the kashmiri chicken tikka....two portions each were not enough. We stuck to the heavy starters and drinks section paid a bill of 5.5K and had a real blast. -
