Food court, Inside Inorbit Mall, Malad (W), Mumbai

Good

Good mix of world cuisine

Great food. Some of the best world food one can get in Mumbai. The service is very quick. Went on a Saturday, not very crowded. Ordered a pasta, the waiter said the it will enough for a max of 2 but 3 of us ate it and got so full that the rest was tough to finish. The Jalapeno cheese poppers were not very great. Needed lots more cheese. Also ordered a bruschetta which was out of the world and a great wedge wrap which was HUGE! it came with a great portion of fries and 3 huge onion rings which tasted great. Like that was not enough we ordered an apple strudel which was so scrumptious and even the normal chocolate truffle was so delicious. The prices were not extremely high. the ambiance was good.

Jewel Shopping Centre, Versova, Andheri (W), Mumbai

Good

Much much improved

The last time I visited this place about a year ago they were really all in a mess. Since then had not taken the risk. This time around it was a Saturday night, but since we were a big group of 15 with 4 kids we needed to call it an early night. Called for reservations at 6.30 PM and was told it was sold out, as half the restaurant (outdoors) was booked for a private party. On much pleading we were offered a table on the condition we finished by 10.15 PM latest. Suited us just fine. Since the variety here caters for everyone I asked for a Grovers La Reserve red wine to drink with the continental starters. The last time I remember asking for it at this place it was a warm (read mumbai hot) bottle of wine. When I aksed about wine temperature I was told that "Sir Red Wine is always Served At Room Temperature" . Yes my friend that is so true, if your restaurant is located in Northern Europe where the room temperature seldom exceeds 18 degrees Celsius. This time around I warned them and much to my surprise the wine was at 18 degrees C. The service is slow, especially when there are kids screaming for their pizza (wood fired is great but when!!!!!). My daughter asked for Jalapeno Cheese Poppers, not really unto the mark. The Indian main course on the other hand was very tasty. No deserts ordered since everyone was weight watching.

World Trade Centre Arcade, Ground Floor, Shop #1, Cuffe Parade, Mumbai

Good

Pricey but worth every bit of it

Did our annual old school boys reunion, just four of us catching up with the friend from LA. Wanted good food, great ambience and terrific service. Got all of it. Special mention for the prawns, and off course the kashmiri chicken tikka....two portions each were not enough. We stuck to the heavy starters and drinks section paid a bill of 5.5K and had a real blast.

Rendezvous Bldg, Shop 6 & 7, Raviraj Oberoi Complex, Lokhandwala, Andheri (W), Mumbai

Good

Excellent tandoori and biryani

Ordered a home delivery on Friday night. Service was prompt, probably because we ordered very early. Achari tikka was simply too good as was the Reshmi kabab. Give the vegetarian a miss as the malai paneer tikka was very so-so. Garlic nan, was a little low on the rich garlic aroma I prefer, but the Chicken Biryani boneless, is probably the best I have eaten in Mumbai.

Shop No. 9 & 10, Everest Apt, JP Road, Versova, Andheri (W), Mumbai

Good

Best Bakes in Yari Road

If you need a freshly baked cake in a hurry look no further. The Scrumptious bakery is also located in Yari road. Also, Vishal specializes in hand made chocolates for Diwali gifting orders. Ask for the Chocolate Mousse cake or the Sour Cream Cherry they are tops.
