Good
We were shopping at this Hi fi mall n my 8 year old son told me about this restaurant which he had visited with his mum . I have a penchant for Indian food as I work abroad where Indian food is rare. We decided to have dinner there as my son insisted that I should try.
The wait was worth it , there is no privacy offered but the food is Homely . The sign language is no deterrent for replenishments , The staff is at its best when persuading you to go in for the extra phulkas or the chutneys . A bit expensive than the thalis offered by the Shetty Joint's but not a big deal if you prefer Authnehic food , couteous staff & a good atmosphere.
A must visit whilst in Mumbai .

Awful
I happend to run out of choice & had to order Biryani from this joint the previous nite for a next days function.
Totally agree with Vinita Bhatia's view that If you can afford to miss this Biryani then please do !!
The taste was about average but the chicken was badly cooked & not ever warm when collected .The guys doing the cooking must be miserably paid altough the Biryani is sold on par as would be in any other joint.
Their clothing is dirty, they are not groomed at all & Hygiene never exists on their menu.
All in all - suggest you dont dial & cancel their numbers !

Its a pity that this restaurant had to close down . The owners apparently were not happy about the profit this small restaurant on the S V Road , Sunder Nagar was making.
The food was finger licking , the staff were homely. A mini restaurant with just 8 tables could not do much as they failed to live up to the expectations of the changing modern day crowd. The ambience within - not so great , dimly lit but covered up with good old ghazals & piped music.
Am sure old patrons still remember their Methi mutter Malai , Bhuna Ghost & the Rumali Rotis.

Awful
Its a shame that some pizzerias open & do not serve pizzas the way pizzas are to be served. This unfortunately is one of them . Conveninetly located for the Malad food huggers from where it was previously located in a better locality than now - This place serves the appetite of the local crowd in Indian taste . Their Butter chicken Pizza is nothing much than chicken chunks on a pizza base - Nothing Buttery about it.
The Garlic bread is awful - Suggest the owners take a trip to the New yorker or better still the ever green 'Pizza Hut chain "- perhaphs they could take a clue about pizza making .

I have been a resident of Malad for the last 42 years, patronising this restaurant ever since its birth on the corner of Mithchowky . What must be appreciated is the consistency in the taste & the prices under check.
The Fried rice, Manchurian & lolipops as always are worth mentioning !
What needs to be more appreciated is the fact that Uncle has given way (out of choice) by shifting from the crowded junction where he was (apparently an illegal structure) - This way he has eased the Malad crowd of the traffic at this junction . Quodos to you Uncle of Mithchowky.
