Excellent
excellent food, always good and always the great taste that you remember. even for a non-bengali & a vegetarian at that, the food is appetising, memorable and keeps you wanting more. servings are just right and reasonably priced. the cholar dal is a must try as is the aloo dum and the luchi. other preparations with cauliflower are equally good.
while its a quiet place and you can't expect to have a 'hip' place to hang out, its a must visit for the food. service is good, staff are affable and helpful.

Poor
have heard a lot about indigo deli, the great food, ambience... so i decided to head there on a friday night. we got a table upstairs, placed our order and were waiting for the drinks to arrive when... a cockroach and a really LARGE one at that, started crawling up my friends leg. a waiter caught it, and took it away...
and we were contemplating whether to stay or leave (seeing as how a cockroach in a dining area made me sick)... when 5 minutes later, we found another one next to the chair, as large as the previous one. that was it. i had no confidence in the food anymore... i can't remember the last time i saw a cockroach at a table in any restaurant... not even an ordinary udipi joint. and at a place like this, it was absolutely shocking.
waiters and the manager were on the whole unfazed, while the manager did apologise, it wasn't particularly convincing nor did they seem overtly concerned. was told that they had done pest control the previous day. which is fine, but to find two large cockroaches at a table is unpardonable. who knows how many more were crawling around.
really disappointed.

Poor
the wine is priced ok and there's a good selection to choose from. however if you're looking for good food to accompany the wine, you are not going to find it here. the food is overpriced, serving sizes are miniscule (a 55 Rs bruschetta consists of 2 pieces of bread!) and overall the taste is not all that great. a mushroom and spinach quiche is the size of a regular small puff and costs Rs 85. add to that, all this is served with cheap 1 Re Kissan sachets... even a proper bottle of sauce was apparently too much even though they must a killing with the prices. waiters are not concerned at all. looking for wine? going in a for a bit. but otherwise there is nothing else to write home about.
