Good
Hey i grew up eating at this place, just 2 mins walk from my house.
I studied at R.A.Podar which was a 30 second walk and thus loads of experiences with China Man.
Very sweet place, was an irani restaurnt in the 60s and 70s (My Mom told me this), then moved on to being a chinese restaurant.
The owner Sheriyar is fondly called as Sherys and also as Sanjuay Dutt due to his long and thin frame and long hair (olden days sanjay dutt)
He also runs a small eatrey next to china man called Sherrys - Rolls, Buns, Pizzas - All take aways
China man is quite well dont up though the place is basic it has the typical chinese fans and paintings adorning the walls.
In my days there was just 1 waiter Namdev who managed all the tables but now there are 2.
The kitchen is on the left of the hotel and you see the typical nepali boy sweating it out - Literally.
Try the Triple schezwan - Non veg and it wont let you down a few of my other favourites are Chicken loyylpop, chicken 65, hakka noddles, egg fried rice and the schezwan chicken with thick lucious gravy.
Wash down the meal with a pepsi or a coca cola and head straight out.
A non veg meal for 2 must be done in around Rs. 200: Strater + 2 Main course items.
For the veg i would suggest friend rice - Red, singapore noodles and the sweet conr soup - Veggies can pay a neat Rs. 150 and get all they wish to have.
Dont forget to take the swet paris smile of sherry while walking out and loads of motuh freshners kept at the counter.
All in all - Chini chini china man

Excellent
The above review says it all. Just a few further pointers : The place is not in Sion (W), It is at Kind Circle - Matunga : 400019
The Menu can be quite confusing but never hesitate to ask the waiter. I have ordered at home and they have been kind enough to ask me - Tell us how many people will eat and they will send you the best varities depepding on how many people would be relishing the meal.
Dont forget the wash down the Idli's with some great coffee - They sell coffeee powder as well.

Come, join me and let us swim in the ocean of food and liquor.
The place is quite away from the hum drum of the bust khar station. Get down at Khar west and turn right and walk into the lane and you shall spot ocean on your left within 30 seconds of walking.
Valet parking is available so feel free to drive it down even though the lane is excessively crowded.
The place has a ground and 1st floor - 1st floor for Families and functions.
The bar was quite well stocked but lacks the in-thing sort of drinks, more convenient for the typical drinker who prefers his whisky or rum and some complimentary peanuts.
Walked in on a sunday and the place was quite noisy but luckily for me the crowd was decent, typical family crowd staying in and around the area.
Make sure you try thier Panner lazeez (Starter)- Truly lazeez and mouth watering. The shape of thier chicken lollypop is a bit akward but then once you bite into some symptous chicken who cares about how it looked.
In veg have thier veg jalfrezi or you can try the conventional dishes. If you are someone who likes potatoes then make sure to have Aloo gobi - Keep it dry as the gravy sort of dilutes the taste.
Have thier chicken mughlai - The gravy is divine and so is the taste.
Do not, i repeat do not walk out without washing down your drinks and starters with a basic dish - Dal Khichdi.
The 1 thing that is a bit of the dampner is the service - Very slow and you need to repeat your order : 2 of the drinks we called for on the table were large pegs even though we had called for small pegs - Shout your way in the restaurant (Everyone does it).
All in all a good place to have a quite evening.
I suggest if you have some time after a meal here you must head to santacruz and have an ice-cream or kulfi at Gokul and there you go - You just had a great evening.
Ocean : A non-meal for 4 with hard drinks would cost around Rs. 1800

The Restaurant is located at a 1 Minute walk from Dadar Station and as the name suggest serves Punjabi Dishes.
I would prefer more so to call this place as an Ideal Joint for Friends or Colleagues who are catching up after a hard day or for a Informal meeting over Drinks post Office.
The Lighting is Dim and the service too is Relaxed. The Menu boasts of all the typical dishes that most menus would tom-tom about.
The U.S.P. of this Place is the Live Ghazals. There are Live Ghazals and it simply adds to the Charm of Drinking and takes you back into the old Era.
Be Careful the Ghazals might just Entice you have that 1 Extra Drink over and above what you usually Gulp down.
My personal favourite is Whisky + Starters. I have not had a meal in that place myself but my friends who have eaten there vouch for the Chicken Makhanwalla and the Jeera Rice with Dal Tadka to wash down the Drinks.
Remember to have the Missi Roti with the Chicken and a Green Mirchi to get the real flavour.
They offer a Valet Parking and thus you dont have to worry about this in and around a Busy area like Dadar Station.
Drinks are reasonably priced - Peg System. Mocktails is something i suggest must be avoided after all Punjab is all about the Large Patiyala Peg and not about a Bloody Mary !!!!!
Happy Ghazaling and Guzzling.....

This place is a Haven for Lovers of Malwani Food. All the Coastal people flock here.
This is in a by lane and away from the main road opposite Century Bazaar so getting there needs some Hunting. Get across the Road from Century Bazaar and turn Right, you would see a Bata showroom - Turn left before the showroom and walk for 30 seconds to discover the Place.
Fish is a Hot favourite for this Restaurant and also for with a taste for Coastal Cuisine. Try the Pompret Fry and they wont let you down - There will be the sharp smell we aqssociate with Fish but then that is how they serve it.
Chicken is made in a peculiar manner and is very Pungent. Do try Chicken Do Pyaaza with a special Roti - Kombdi che Wade (Kombdi in Marathi stands for Chicken)
Kombdi che Wade is like a Puri we eat put it has a Thick base and is rounded and fluffy - It is a Non Veg Dish so dont get Confused.
There is a Pink thick shake called - Souul Kuddi, this is a favourite with most people who have a meal and they use this as an Appetizer.
All Food Items are on the Spicy Side and ensure you tell the Waiters in case you need some Respite.
I suggest that you top off all Dishes with Lots of Lime and Onion to enjoy it the way it has to be had.
There are 2 Seating areas - Ground and 1st Floor - No Airconditioner available. Sit on the 1st Floor as the ground floor gets too Noisy due to the Kitchen. Avoid the Corner Seats on the 1st Floor next to the Basin as it gets very Uncomfortable.
A Non Veg Meal for 2 would cost you around Rs. 175.
Do try it out and experience the Flavour of Maharashtrian Cuisine from the Coastal Region
