SKH Merchant Club, 44 Belle View, Behind Wilson College, Chowpatty Road, Chowpatty, Girgaum, Mumbai

Good

Quite a surprise!

The name NUKKAD suggests a roadside joint with some bambaiya cuisine however this little joint coming out of nowhere in the middle of Chowpatty, is quite a treat! Very cosy ambience with equally matching dishes on the menu, this new place took me by surprise. The chaats and the assorted platter were quote tasty. Though the menu is not upto the mark, with names added in pencil and rates of dishes scracthed by a pen. With a little more attention to the details, this joint can be quite a hit!

143, Soona Mahal, Marine Drive, Mumbai

Excellent

Bombay Masala rules!

By far my favourite Italian restaurant in the city especially for pizzas. Bombay Masala or jus the Margarita Pizza are all simply fabulous. Not to forget the Jalapeno n Cheese Poppers along with some pasta - e - funghi. And all in a superb 'round-the-corner' ambience. Only thing missing is some air-con especially in the summers. The menu has been revamped some weeks ago, and the best veg dish (Mushroom Melt)was taken off the menu, dont understand why? All said n done, this one's a total winner!

Taj President, 90, Cuffe Parade, Mumbai

Average

Suddenly so steep!!!

I remember going to KC a couple of months ago or may be even a year, when i had relished the Veg Thali, especially the appams and the rasam. Had enjoyed it even more because it cost some Rs 300 odd. I was quite amazed to find out that the same thali (infact every item in it was ditto) now costs Rs 550 plus taxes!!! It was nothing exceptional either. The unlimited crunchies they serve as starters along with some nice chutneys, was the highlight of the meal. Of course, the ambience of the restaurant is very ethnic, feels like u r dining in one of those huts along the coastline, but surely wouldnt wana pay that much for some food i can eat for Rs 50 - 80 in the bylanes of Matunga.

Shop 24, Cusrow Baug, Colaba Causeway, Colaba, Mumbai

Good

Truly food of the Gods!

Outright fabulous for every chocolate lover! Recommend the chocolate walnut brownies and the chocolate tarts. Am sure the other things on the menu are great but never moved on from my favorites to try anything else.
