I went to the bar `Soma' ? on the third floor which is quite a nice place - and really nice for some place in Malleswaram. Provides a worthy alternative to Viking if one wants a drink in this part of the city. The Chinese place ( Khao ? ) is also quite nice but the decor is a little on the bizarre side - gun sticking out of the wall, rabid dog charging out... .
The prices had gone up by about 20% the second time I went there, so it wasn't as great a deal as it was the first time. A bottle of KF went up to Rs. 100 for 650ml from Rs.80 but I suppose that that may be related to the increase... read more
I went here for a drink - I didnt eat the food so cannot really comment on it. The place is very tastefully decorated and comfortable - they have taken an old bungalow and remodelled it. The only problem with this place - which is a problem with a lot of places in Bangalore - is that it is very expensive - its ridiculous to pay Rs. 350 for a cocktail - although it was quite a good cocktail.
I liked the place as they were quite relaxed and didnt mind that we didnt eat anything there. In fact they were generous enough to give us some bread. I'll probably go here again - especially if... read more

What upset us was that the maitre'd tried to claim that we were wrong and it was a fillet of beef. Well, then it must have been some muscular and tangy cow ! I was clearly lamb and not very good lamb at that. Finally he agreed to take it off the bill and suggested a dessert - a chocolate fondant... read more
This is the restaurant outlet of Asha sweets. So the samosas and chaat are very good - as long as you insist that the chaat guy doesnt put grated coconut and grated carrot on everything - as people in this part of the country are wont to do.
Apart from the chaat there is also a `multicusine' restaurant which, as is usually the case with all these multicusine places - is unremarkable. The decor is nice though.
This place is well worth a visit. A little difficult to find but really worth looking for. Simple and tasty. And unlike many of the Italian restos in this city or country - its not overpriced and the quantities are more than adequate.
