Atria Mall, Food Court, Worli, Mumbai

Good

My Take Away Lesson.

Stopped by to take home one of their reputedly magnificent pizzas. It was about 12 in the afternoon and they were just open. I ordered my pizza frutti di mare and went window shopping. Came back half an hour later and the pizza wasn't quite ready. It was alright, i was willing to wait. The Don himself was present and would have none of it, he made sure my pizza was the first thing out of the kitchen. He insisted i sit and eat in the restaurant and offered me a beverage since i had to wait so long. True hospitality. We then struck up a conversation about italy and travel. He is an excellent host, not to mention the Pizza was unbelievable. I will definitely be returning soon. Mamma Mia, Don Giovanni e Molto Benne!!!

Strand Coffee House, Strand Road, Opp. Strand Cinema, Colaba, Mumbai

Average

I totally agree! Tasty pizza but they are so dumb!

I lose my patience each time. I usually dial the Peddar road outlet, It is impossible to communicate in either english or hindi! I now only ask my friends to call, i can't anymore. Also, too expensive for a delivery joint.

Poor

Sanitation Ahoy!

Saw the guy behind the dessert counter, lick his fingers and then place the tarts in the display with his bare hands. GROSS!!!!

Shop No 5 Mukesh House, Hatiskar Marg, Prabhadevi, Mumbai

Good

Great for a boys night in

Mr. Chows served up some pretty yummy chinese take out at a very reasonable price, their menu is quite dense and they offer all the typical mumbai chinese staples.
Our order was
Pepper chicken - Okay, quite bland
Prawns salt and pepper - really yummy
2 of the Kongee Lamb - THE BEST DISH THEY HAVE
Chicken in Black bean sauce - Also quite good
Steamed wantons - Quite yummy as well
Egg Fried rice

All for a total of 1000! (That's Seven Dishes!)

WHAT A DEAL!!

Highly recommend Mr. Chows to all!

Shop No. 31, CR 2 Mall, Nariman Point, Mumbai

Awful

Boy this place stunk

Coming into the CR2 Mall i thought it would be worth grabbing a bite at Ruby Tuesday's prior to watching the Afternoon movie. I could not have been more wrong. The place was completely empty, totally killing any ambiance or mood while there was a very funny smell lingering. Looking at the menu I saw sundry food but a dearth of it no less. There was a lot to eat but all very similar. Some items on the menu looked absolutely revolting such as their chicken stackers. Here is what i wound up ordering:

Cheese fries with bacon - This was pretty bad, i had high hopes for it but the cheese they used smelled foul and tasted even worse. Not an ideal starter at all

For the main i had a recommended Creole seafood platter - This item was pictured on the place mat but looked nothing like it when it arrived. The portion was adequate but it tasted just horrible.

The only tasty item ordered was the lemonade which at 90 rupees for maybe 200 ml worth, was a rip off.

All in all -
2 cheese fries with bacon
1 Seafood Platter
2 Pepsis
1 Lemonade

1750 rupees. This was far too expensive especially for the terrible qualities. The waiters were polite but a bit dim, after the meal they harassed me to become a member of the restaurant to avail 50% discount on every visit. I asked "What's the catch?" 4000 rupees up front. NOT WORTH IT. I will never go back here.

Advice: Go to Friday's or the Hard Rock Cafe for the same cuisine but far better quality and amusement.
