Excellent

SUPERB

Everyone knows that Indigo is the best restaurant in Mumbai, and it's delicatessan cousin is not too far behind! The Akerkar's have once again re-affirmed their rightful position on the absolute top of Mumbai's culinary scene with Indigo Deli. Global Deli Classics such as Philly Cheese Steak, Eggs Benedict and the good old Cheeseburger are the obvious favourites, and would please the most discerning international palette. For those venturing beyond the traditional Deli fare, the grilled prawns are fantastic, as are the pizzas, which have the best thin crust I have had in Mumbai. But what makes the Deli truly worldclass is the eclectic selection of wines, cheeses, meats, breads and pastries, to stock up your refrigerator with. They seemed to have drastically improved their service, which was a bit slow in the past. Make sure that you reserve a table though, since the waits can be super-long, especially on weekends. All in all, the second-best restaurant in the city, second only to its Older cousin.SUPERB!

Excellent

Music Nirvana

Finally, a world-class live music haven in Mumbai, with fantastic food, and amazing ambience. Blue Frog is truly a blessing for us poor souls who have been starving for live music, in a space that could really be in any of the world's top cities.
The last time we went, we were treated to a special performance by Ashu, who also happens to be one of the partners of Blue Frog. Ashu and his band hadn't performed for the last 15 years, and this did show in the first few songs that they performed. But once they got warmed up, it got a lot better. The last one hour was excellent.
The live music is obviously the main attraction of Blue Frog, but special mention needs to be made of the super space itself. It is HUGE, and not only by Mumbai standards. The amphi-theater style design ensures that you have an unobstructed view of the stage regardless of where you are in the club. The state-of-the-art audio setup is probably the best in the city. Add to that the scrumptious food catered by Rahul Akerkar (of Indigo fame), and you have the best club in India, by a mile.

Good

Great Food

Ive only been here for lunch, and the food was simply incredible. The ambiance was fantastic, and there was no loud band playing.
The appams were superb, and I sure gorged on them with all the spicy food. The service was incredible, but it might have to do with the torrential rain outside that saturday afternoon, ensuring that there was only one other table occupied besides ours.
All in all, a GREAT place, which I hope remains relatively untouched.

Good

Authentic Muslim Goodies

If you are in the mood for real, authentic Muslim desserts, look no further.
At Suleman Usman's you get the best Phirni, halwa, milk mithai, kaju katris, and other delicious mithai and farsan.
During Ramzan, its a real treat, because they go overboard with the variety, and the REAL delicacies come out.
And the prices are ridiculaously cheap, so its good to buy a lot and stock up your fridge.
Advice: Take a friend/driver along if you are driving, because parking is a bitch!

Good

Unbelievable Mughlai Food

Really good Tandoori chicken and Chicken Tangdis.
Known for their famous Chicken Tikka Biryani, few know that they also have a Reshmi Tikka Biryani, which I usually prefer. Of course, their regular mutton and chicken biryani is to die for.
The best part is that they deliver!
I'm hooked... order at least twice a week!
